In addition to being involved in the building repositioning of the 5 Story, 25,000 SF building at 285 N6 Street, GFP Real Estate retained FPE for two full floor tenant installations.  AGW, a culture marketing and communications company on the 3rd floor and Airswap / Fluidity, a Crypto Currency broker, on the 5th floor.  The existing character of the exterior brick walls and timber columns and beams set the stage for the loft spaces and, working closely with the tenants, FPE developed two schemes which organized the large floor plates into more intimate spaces for entertaining, conferencing, socializing and working through the strategic location of the pantries and conference / cubby rooms.  At AGW the desire was contrast so the timber columns and beams were dyed a deep brown against the light ceilings and floors and the column capitals were ground to the original metal sheen.  At Airswap / Fluidity the tenant desired a much lighter, spacious feel resulting in more homogeneous hues and, being the top floor, we were able to take advantage of the ceiling height and even resurrected the existing, closed-up skylight to brighten up the pantry area in the center of the space.  The resulting office spaces have a flow which encourage collaboration throughout the day and into the evening hours when the entertaining begins which was an important aspect to both of these young, chic companies situated in the ever-growing neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
